Effects with Gimp and Photoshop-Tutorial

 

 combine a layers without the BG
Use gaussian blur (in filter under blur)
and use the pixel radius you want
(I always use around 1 to 3 pixels)

duplicate the layer and make the opacity on 30%

 

 Duplicate the 30% layer and make it to screen

press CTRL+L and

change the values which looks the best for you

 

 Duplicate the Normal 30% layer again and pull it over the screen layer

make it to Overlay and change the opacity to 20 %

save the Data as JPG,PNG,etc and it's finished <33

The way for gimp is the same ~

and it's for poeple who don't own photoshop

 

Make the same progress

Use Gaussian blur on Filter-> Blur
Duplicate the Layer and change it to 30%

Duplicate the 30% layer and change it to screen

Change the values on colors -> values

Change the values until you like the colors

Duplicate the normal 30% layer und pull it on top

Make it to Overlay and change it to 20%

 Finished it on the gimp way ♥

Airbrush coloring-Tutorial

 

First make a layer under the Outlines and choose a

dark color as a BG
(it's very useful for coloring light colors)

 

 Make the Basic color

  

Now the shading

Choose a dark skin color
(I always choose a color between red and orange and goes a bit darker)

  

With a gently touch shade where you want

Especially on the nose,cheek,chin,shoulder and elbow
(When you have open legs shade the knee)

 

Use a smaller size an use the same color on the gentle shade.
oppressive a bit with the tool (it will goes darker °v°)

   

Correct the colors with a litgher skin color

 

 Use the pen to make the lightspots on the face
with white

  

Tip:

It will looks very good when you make the spots on the nose,lips,chin,shoulder,elbow and knee

  

When your character have colored fingernails

make the basic color and shade them like the skin

  

Make lightspots as well

 

Now the eyes.

make a shade the pupil
and choose a daker color with a smaller size

make the same progress and this time
make 2 lightly circles in the eye

 

 Make lightspots.
Make a new layer an choose the color shock pink.

 

Use the same getle touch progress on the hair (like the skin)

and use a small seize to make the shade

Tip: it's easier to make it from bottom to top

 

 Make the same progress with a lighter color
Tip:this time from top zu bottom

 

 Make lightspots on the hair

 

 Now the clothes.

Again a gently touch at the beginning

 

 Then with a smaller size for the shades (the same color oppressive touch)

 

 It hopefully looks like this ><''

 

Make your own BG and you can use brushes for the clothes,hair,etc.

You can save it as a PSD Data to make effect with gimp or PhotoShop

1st Tutorial-Male Body (Waist up)

 

First start with a circle for the Face

  

Than make a line

 

 Form the Face and correct it a bit (a bit thicker)
and the beginning from the neck

  

Make a trapeze (dunno how to call it DX)
and form the thorax

  

Do the same for the hips

  

Make the beginning for the Legs and the Arms

  

Make circles for the joints for the fingers and link them with a line

  

Try a raw scetch for the body with the help
from the forms before

Now ~
Let's try scetching the character °v°!!!

  

First:
Make a new layer.
I always start with the hairs
you can choose between smooth or shaggy hairs.

Tip:
A mix up with smooth and shaggy will looks great really good,too <33!

 

Make the lines on the face.
First for the eyes.
Second for the noes.
and third for the mouth.

 

Finished face 8D!!

 

Now dress him up ~
I choose a simple model >w<!

 

draw the fingers like the body °v°~

 

Yay <333 We finished scetching *3*
LET'S LINE IT!

 

Make a new layer and start lining it with your best tool
(I always use brush >w<)
Now you can correct a little from your scetch ~
